Peace Corps Bucket List

1. Find Alexander the Great’s boyhood home

2. Climb the tallest mountain (and sing Sound of Music) – accomplished!

3. Convince Beyoncé to add a tour stop in Skopje

4. Explore Mavrovo National Park

5. Visit Turkey (where my dear cousin is doing a Fulbright Scholarship) – accomplished!

Sitting in rock cut outs was a big part of our trip.

The Turkish cousin and the Macedonian cousin (in Turkey!).

6. Eat everything — accomplished a little more секој ден (every day)!

The top right is the back up cake, left over from Easter.

It’s mostly cake….not mad.

7. Find ice cream cake – accomplished!

Technically, we didn't find it. Rachel and I made this ice cream cake for our dear friend Gwen's birthday. We tried to recreate the cake her mom makes for her birthday every year. I loved her reaction when we brought it out. (Oh, and it was delicious and I ate part of it with my hands.)
